Delores Tackett's Obituary
Delores F. Tackett (nee Smith) age 72 of Grafton passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 very peacefully and comfortably at home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Monclo, WV and had resided in Grafton for the past 46 years. She had been employed as a cook at Columbia Middle School retiring in 2006. Delores was a former member of North Eaton Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler for 40 years and she enjoyed camping, fishing, playing bingo and traveling to Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Robert, sons, Robert II of McConnelsville, OH and Kenneth of Grafton, daughters, Cindy (Mike) Wells and Debora (Tom) Tackett both of Grafton, 5 grandchildren, Chris, Lyndsey, Heather, Nicole and Kenneth, Jr., 3 great grandchildren, Leah, Dominic and Kyler, brothers, Arthur, Michael and Kenneth, sisters, Virginia, Mary, Clara Mae, Vicki, Loretta, Linda and Ella Mae, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Sammy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Smith and Genevieve Sanney, a granddaughter, Leah Jean and a brother, Dennis, Jr. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday. Rev. Jeff Sweitzer will officiate. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions are requested to the American Diabetes Assn. 4500 Rockside Rd. Suite 440 Independence, OH 44131.
