Debra Heck's Obituary
Debra Marie Heck (nee Reichart), 53, passed away on April 10, 2012, surrounded by her family at home in North Ridgeville following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Debra was born on November 11, 1958 in Youngstown. She lived some years in Wooster and North Olmsted, then settled in North Ridgeville for the last 28 years. Debra worked as a secretary for Hilo Tec in North Olmsted, and Estes Transportation before retiring due to illness earlier this year.
Debra was very active in the North Ridgeville community as a member of the Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church, Parent Teacher Association and over 20 years volunteering with the Boy and Girl Scouts. She loved many things in her life, gardening, camping, the annual trip to Cocoa Beach, but her true passion was her family and especially her grandson.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Gene; daughters, Heather and Jessica both of North Ridgeville; sons, Shawn of Ravenna, Nathan and Branden both of North Ridgeville; grandson, Samual of Lorain; sisters, Brenda (Ken) Radford of Creston, Marianne (John) Taylor of Masury, Charlene (Larry) Greathouse of Burghill, Michelle (Jon) Bush of Painesville; and brother, Eddie (Karen) Reichart of Masury.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Reichart (nee Zydyk).
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 – 5 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church, 34555 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. The Reverend Dale Critchley will officiate. Interment to follow at Ridgeville Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
Memorial donations to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland 44110 or the Moll Cancer Center, 18200 Lorain Ave., Cleveland 44111 would be appreciated by the family.
