Debbie Jo Javorsky's Obituary
Debbie Jo Javorsky, age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a remarkably independent and kind person to everyone, always ready to listen.
Debbie was born on February 21, 1956, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Ten months ago, she made her home in North Ridgeville after relocating from Covington, Louisiana, and previously residing in Mississippi and other states. She attended St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville.
Debbie earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and dedicated her career to helping others. She worked as a Neuropsychologist in New Hampshire until she retired and moved back to MS. She then took a post-retirement position as a Psychometrist at Ochsner Health in Covington, Louisiana, until August 2025.
In her free time, Debbie found great joy in her grandchildren and in creative pursuits. She was talented in knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and jewelry making. She was also an avid photographer with a special appreciation for capturing beautiful sunsets. Debbie enjoyed life's simple pleasures as well, including watching her favorite classic television show, The Beverly Hillbillies, which never failed to bring a smile to her face.
Debbie is survived by her son Jason (Aubree) Rawls of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandchildren Mallory Rawls, Tatum (Drake) McClure, James Parks Jr. and Makinnley Parks; great grandchildren Marlee, Miles, and Millie McClure; mother Dorothy (née Schaut) Javorsky; sisters Kathy (Tim) Ozmun, Lynn (Jay) Schindley and Sue (Jeff) Adams; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Javorsky.

A Memorial Mass for Debbie will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026 at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Isidore Munishi will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Mississippi.
