David J. Poduska's Obituary
David J. Poduska, age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Lakewood, Ohio and grew up in Fairview Park before moving to North Ridgeville in 1971 from North Olmsted.
David worked as a commercial insurance broker for the Marsh and McLennan Agency in Cleveland before retiring in 1994 after 15 years of service. He spent his free time working around the house, golfing, working on his computer and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Alice M. Poduska of North Ridgeville; daughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Carandang of Avon and Stefanie (Chris) Titterington of Olmsted Falls; six grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Jocelyn, Cameron, Alexander, Lauren, and Jessica Carandang; brother, William (Marilyn) Poduska of North Ridgeville; sisters, Debbie (Raun) Kopp of Brunswick and Barbara Janovsky of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha (nee Malloy) Poduska; infant brother, John Poduska.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home at 9:30AM followed be a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery.
