David P. Hagerman's Obituary
David P. Hagerman, age 77, of Wakeman passed away Thursday June 29, 2023 at his home.
Born in Portsmouth, he had resided in Wakeman the past three years after moving from Estill, SC. He had previously lived most of his life in Avon.
David served in the US Army during Vietnam.
David had many passions over the years, including racing motorcycles, cars, golfing, fishing, hunting and coaching his kid’s soccer teams. He more recently took up Pickleball.
He was a member of North Ridgeville Church of Christ.
He worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years, retiring from Avon Lake Assembly Plant in 2006 where he was a Maintenance Clerk. He was a member of UAW Local 2000.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Patricia (nee Boner), daughter, Trisha (Michael) Keller of Bluffton, SC, sons, Nicholas (Karen) Hagerman of Williamsburg, VA and Jerry (Christine) Hagerman of Sheffield Lake, grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Samantha, Calisa, Garrett and Kira, one sister Martha (Roger) Tackett of S. Charleston, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Nichles and Helen Caroline (nee Haffner) Hagerman, sisters, Ruth Stoneking, Alma Bloomfield, Patsy Skaggs, Helen Adams, Bonnie Hollis, and brothers, Gordon, Robert, and Nicky Hagerman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday July 5th from 10 AM until time of services at 12 noon at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services 36625 Center Ridge Rd North Ridgeville. Elder Bruce Dean with North Ridgeville Church of Christ will lead the services. Private burial will take place at a later date.
