David Davis' Obituary
David B. Davis, 78, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
David was born on January 20, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Illinois, and then attended Harvard University until answering the call to serve in the Navy during the Korean War. Following his service he moved to the Cleveland area where he worked at National City Bank for 47 years, retiring as the Vice President of the Corporate Trust Division.
David enjoyed researching, restoring and collecting Typewriters. He was also an automobile enthusiast who never missed an Auto Show. A proud member of the NRA and the Harvard College Fund, 1636 Society.
Survivors include his sons, William B. of North Ridgeville and David A. (Michelle) of North Ridgeville; and his grandson Dawson.
Preceded in death by his parents, David A. and Florence Davis.
Friends will be received on Monday from 5 – 8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11 AM. Father Tom Kowatch will officiate.
Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
