Darrell S. McDougal's Obituary
Darrell McDougal, age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at University Hospitals of Cleveland after a brief illness.
He was born in Charleston, WV and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1952, moving from Cleveland.
Darrell worked as a machine operator at the GM Parma plant until his retirement in 1999. In his free-time he loved fishing and watching the birds that he fed.
He is survived by his stepsons, Larry (Linda) Thompson of Elyria and
Gary Thompson of Elyria; stepdaughters, Cheryl (Richard) Jackson of Denver and Deborah Thompson-Selman of North Ridgeville; special daughter, Marilyn Wightman of Grafton;19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Cathy Clarke of Mansfield; sisters, Margaret Moore of Charleston, WV and Frances Cadle of Charleston, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys (nee Martin); stepson, Eddie Thompson; parents, Osborne and Elizabeth (nee Wooten) McDougal; and sisters, Mary Clay and Helen Lambert.
Friends may call Thursday, from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Sandy Gast will officiate.
Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
