Daniel J. Spar Sr.'s Obituary
Daniel J. Spar Sr., age 63, of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a recent resident of Elyria moving from North Ridgeville.
Daniel worked as a supervisor for Ohio CAT in Broadview Hts. until 2006.
He was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed cars, playing games, cards, history, reading the Bible, politics, spending time with his family and doing activities outdoors. He was a “Jack of all Trades” loved grilling and was known as “The Chief” and “Codfather”. He was a kid at heart.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mercedes “Penny”, sons, Lenny Karpinski Jr.of Elyria, Aaron Spar of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, daughter, Stefanie Spar of Elyria, Papa to Isabella, Briella, Jakoby, brother, Robert Spar of Buffalo, MS, sisters, Theresa (Kevin) Taylor of Streetsboro, Diane (Nayef) Muhrez of California, Judith (Ken) Spar of Strongsville, special Uncle and Cousin to many.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Spar Jr. in 2014 and parents, Daniel M., and Mary E. Spar.
Friends may call Saturday from 2PM until the time of Memorial Service at 6:30PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Dr. Tom Joyce will officiate. Services will be live streamed on the Bogner Family Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, face coverings and social distancing will be required.
Burial will be held later at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
