Daniel Schneider's Obituary
Daniel Schneider, age 60, of Elyria, passed away at Ames Family Hospice on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on December 31, 1953 in Garfield Heights and has lived in Elyria for the past year, moving from North Ridgeville.
He worked as a manufacturing engineer at ALCOA for 31 years, retiring in 2004.
Daniel was a member of the Polish Club in Elyria, Cleveland Darter Club, Ohio Vending League Systems and the NRA.
He enjoyed bowling, cooking, boating, cars, camping, hunting, fishing, golf, playing darts, poker and blackjack. He was great with his hands and was able to fix and build anything.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah (nee Fryberger); son Robert (Heather) Schneider of North Ridgeville; daughter Donna Schneider of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Sophia, Robert Jr. and Ryan Schneider and Charles IV and Layla Skubovius.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Rosemary (nee Mahalic) Schneider and two brothers.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-5 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Mark Oster will officiate.
Inurnment in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
