Dana Trivett's Obituary
Dana G. Trivett, age 83, of Millersburg, formerly of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday January 22, 2010 at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg following a long illness.
He was born in Damascus, VA. He had resided in North Ridgeville for 36 years before moving to Millersburg in 1991. He worked as a truck driver for Chapin Trucking in North Ridgeville retiring in 1983 after 17 years. He previously worked for Modern Motor Express in Cleveland. After retiring, he worked part time as a courier for EST Bank.
A Korean War Veteran, he served seven years in the US Army earning the rank of Sergeant.
He was a life Member of VFW Post 1079 in Elyria and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 571, Lorain..
He enjoyed strumming his guitar, fishing and camping.
Mr. Trivett is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernice M. (Nee Bobeck), sons, Glenn (Celeste) Trivett of Olmsted Falls, Michael (Donna) Trivett of Millersburg, Doug and Tom Trivett both of North Ridgeville and daughter, Karen (Jim) Traut of Columbia Station, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, sisters, Venia (Richard) Chervinski of Andover, Ohio, Carolyn (Chuck) Bruce of Elyria and Fay (Jack) Klovstad of Fort Worth, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rhea, and sisters, Betty Hood and Myrtle Kay Ray.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where services will be held 11 AM Monday. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville. VFW Post 1079 will conduct full military honors at the grave site.
