Mr. Csaba Karoly Gyarmathy's Obituary
Csaba Karoly Gyarmathy, age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, with his wife, Elizabeth, by his side. He was born on November 16, 1955, in Tansylvania, Szekelyudvarhely, Romania. In 1986, he moved to Austria and then emigrated to the United States in 1988, initially settling in Dallas before relocating to Portland. In 1990, he moved to Cleveland and eventually settled in North Ridgeville 26 years ago. Csaba worked as a CNC machinist for High Production in Valley City. He was raised as a Reformed Christian and attended the West Side Hungarian Lutheran Church, where he also served actively as a council member until health limitations affected his participation.
For twenty years, Csaba fought tirelessly against his health limitation and later illness. Csaba never met a stranger and was very outgoing, always socializing with friends old and new. He loved playing table tennis since his youth and enjoyed watching tennis and soccer matches.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth (nee Karacsony); sister Csilla (Zoli) Gyarmathy-Neubauer; niece Emoke (Bobo) Lako; nephew Zoltan (Brigi) Neubauer; great nieces and nephews Csenge, Bence, Lelle and; Zselyke; Zalan and Hanna; his beloved dog Barney.
Csaba was preceded in death by his parents Anna (nee Balint) and Karoly Gyarmathy.
A Memorial Service for Csaba will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Good Soil, West Side Hungarian Lutheran church, 20300 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River 44116. Rev. Eva Tamasy will officiate.
