Clyde Alan Haefele's Obituary
He was born on October 7, 1952 in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 13 years, moving from Lorain.
Clyde worked as a teacher at the Ohio Technical College for the past 8 years, and had taught previously at JVS for 25 years, where he had been honored with the Teacher of the Year Award.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his buddies Chloe and Chester, his beloved dachshunds and was an avid builder and collector of model cars, trains and slot cars.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 42 years, Stella (nee Barber); brother Wayne Haefele of CA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vance and Lavon (nee Lyons) Haefele; sister Faye Hall and brothers Vance Gerome Jr. and Donald Ray Haefele.
Funeral Service Tuesday, December 20 at 8:30 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6:30 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Alan Jenkinswill officiate. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
