Clifton Patterson's Obituary
Clifton C. Patterson, age 93, of Elyria, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008, at his home, following a long illness.
Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, he was a resident of Elyria for over 20 years moving from Avon.
Mr. Patterson worked as a machinist for Cleveland Aircraft, Avon until retiring in 1980.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple, N. Ridgeville and enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, bowling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Maggie (nee Gibby); daughters, Donna Bowman (James Arp) of Chardon, Linda Diane Watts of Elyria, Darlene (Greg) Bowman of LaGrange; son, Kenneth Patterson of Elyria; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ella Patterson; 15 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Faith Baptist Temple, 34361 Lorain Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Ray Carpenter will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
