Chester Kaminski's Obituary
Chester S. Kaminski, age 89, of Garfield Heights, died Friday evening at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Avon; following a long illness.
He was born in Buffalo, NY and had lived in Garfield Heights since 1937.
Mr. Kaminski served in the United States Army during World War II.
He worked as a millwright for the Alcoa Company, Cleveland, for 45 years and retired in 1980.
He was a member of Saint Monica Catholic Church, the Garfield Heights VFW, the Elyria Moose and the United Steel Workers Union.
He enjoyed playing cards, pool and golfing.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Alice V. (nee Lotz) Kaminski; daughter, Diane (William) Cassidy, of Independence; son, Ronald (Judy) Kaminski, of Avon Lake; four grandsons and five great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Rinkoski, of Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Pauline (nee Dubiel) Kaminski and sister, Tessie Recko.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Reverend Father Stephen Kaminski, pastor of Saint Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville, will officiate. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
