Chataldo "Carl" J. Skolyak's Obituary
Chataldo J. “Carl” Skolyak, age 71 of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 24, 1949 in Cleveland and had been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville. He was a member of the US Army in Vietnam as well as a member of Shepard of the Ridge Church. He worked as an iron worker for LTD Steel retiring in 2002, then was a bus driver for Murray Ridge School for 10 years. Carl enjoyed boating, fishing, genealogy, blackjack, a professional debater, had a great sense of humor, creative inventor, was helpful to all, loved the holiday’s and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 16 years respectfully together for 37, Susan; children Robert “Rusty” of Elyria, Michelle of CO., Steven (Desi) of CO., Tammy Arbogast of North Ridgeville, Sherry Wright of North Ridgeville, Larry (Robin) Madis of Grafton, Kenny (Renee) Madis of Sagamore Hills, Kelly Madis of North Ridgeville; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; dog Shotzee; brothers David and Leonard; many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Josephine. Respecting social distancing and the wearing of masks, family will receive friends Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4 to 8 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville.
