Charlotte Towarnicke's Obituary
Charlotte Ann Towarnicke (nee Zears), age 63, unexpectedly departed our physical world Monday, July 19, 2010. She is now providing constant guidance and support to those she loved and to all who cherished her. Mind-blowing Moo (mother) to Holly Christine Towarnicke-Gast. Awesome Nonny (grandmother) to Tyler and Carter, who were the lights of her life. Remarkable sister to Carmen (Tom) Nicoll and Russell (Linda) Zears. Astounding aunt to many, superb sister-in-law to Jeanne and Linda, and compassionate friend to everyone she ever met. Charlotte was truly indescribable. She was completely selfless, as she devoted her life to those around her. If anyone was ever in need, Charlotte was there to lend a helping hand. She was incredibly generous, and her heart was filled with love. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She shared an extraordinary bond with her daughter, whom she loved with all of her being. Being the wonderful Nonny that she was, she was a regular spectator at her grandsons' sporting events and school functions, where she proudly cheered on her two favorite boys. She also spent a great deal of time with her sister, Carmen, and her brother-in-law, Tom. Her love for her "Seester" was immeasurable, and she treasured the time they shared together as they visited estate sales, discussed antiques, and simply remembered old times. She enjoyed victoriously debating anything and everything with her "older brother," Russell. Her sisters-in-law were cherished more than they know. Many nieces and nephews will miss Charlotte's beautiful smile, warm hugs, and loving kisses. She spoke of each and every one of her loved ones regularly, and with each she created and nourished a unique bond. Charlotte mourned the losses of her mother and father, Ethel and Russell, her brothers, John and Marvin, and her sisters, Barbara and Charity. To be loved by Charlotte was to be loved forever and unconditionally, and she kept the memory of those she lost living, as she shared her numerous memories. Not only was Charlotte a beautiful person, she was also brilliant. She earned a bachelor's degree in International Studies from Bradley University and completed additional coursework at Georgetown University in Maryland. Charlotte's magnificent work ethic was reflected in the numerous awards and recognition she received as an employee of Firestone Tire Company through 1987. As an employee of Katherine's Restaurant, she touched countless people with her bright smile and charismatic personality. Most recently, she exhibited her dedication as an employee of both Print Direct for Less and Kohl's (Avon location). Her co-workers were attracted to her magnetic personality, and she developed many wonderful personal relationships with those with whom she was initially introduced on a professional level. She devoted a great deal of time and energy to her church, Christ Chapel, by whom she was named "Woman of the Year 2010;" an honor by which she was quite humbled. Charlotte loved music, gardening, and, more than anything, helping others. To say "Charlotte will be missed," is an understatement. Charlotte will forever live in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Charlotte made the world a better place, as she gave unselfishly every day of her life. To know Charlotte was to love Charlotte, and to know her was an honor like no other. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 31, at 1:00 p.m. at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Contributions in Charlotte's memory may be made to The City Mission, 5310 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44103 or to any charity of your choice.
