Charlotte B. (nee Nielsen) Thorpe's Obituary
Charlotte Thorpe (nee Nielsen), age 81, of Columbia Station, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on October 3, 1933 in Cleveland and had been a resident of Columbia Station for 46 years.
Mrs. Thorpe enjoyed country music and the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Thorpe of Elyria, Roger Thorpe of Knoxville, Tennessee, Russell Thorpe of Grafton; daughters, Rebecca Workman of Atlanta, Georgia, Dorothy Keenan of Elyria, Brenda Thorpe of Parma Hts., Kristy DiRuggiero of North Royalton, Wendy Johnston of Lorain and Jessica Thorpe of Columbia Station; 27 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, George Nielsen of North Ridgeville; sisters, Anna Board of Elyria, Janet Campbell of Marietta, Sharon Roberson of Temperance, Michigan.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Thorpe; sons, Randy and Scott; daughter, Penny; parents, Hans and Dorothy Nielsen.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Ronald Thorpe will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Avon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seasons of Life Hospice, 9511 West Pleasant Valley Rd., Parma, OH 44130.
