Charles Zdara's Obituary
Charles Edward Zdara, age 83, of North Ridgeville, died Thursday morning at the Rae-Ann Center, Westlake; following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1957; moving from Elyria.
He served in the United States Army during WW ll.
He worked as a machine operator for the Bendix Brake Manufacturing Co. 28 years and retired in 1978. He also was a co-owner/operator of Dean's Restaurant in Elyria during the 1940's.
He attended the Elyria Baptist Church.
Mr. Zdara enjoyed cooking and working in the yard.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Ison-Zdara (nee Ellingsworth); son, Daniel Zdara, of Bulkhead, NV; stepsons, William Thorton, of Arkansas, Timothy Thorton, of Mansfield, OH, and Allyn Rindfleisch, of Kipton, OH; stepdaughter, Shirley Bombish, of Sheffield Lake, OH; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mildred; his parents,Charles E. Zdara and Gladys Smith (nee Burrows) and a stepson, Fritz Thorton.
Private burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, is in charge of arrangements.
