Charles A. Wines Jr.'s Obituary
Charles A. Wines Jr., age 86, of Columbia Station, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Hts.
He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and had been a resident of Columbia Station since 1959 moving from Cleveland.
Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He worked as a tool maker for 48 years at Ford Motor Company at Engine Plant 1 in Brookpark, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of UAW 1250 and former member of Masonic Lodge 382, Berea.
He truly loved his life’s work as a machinist at Ford, and in his free time enjoyed painting and photography.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dolores; daughters, Linda (Tony) Plumley of Garrettsville, Debbie (Phillip) Konarik of Rockdale, Texas, Cindy (Brian) Swiers of Strongsville; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Edith Wines; son, Clifford Wines in 2004; grandson Daniel Swiers; sisters, Virginia Peake, Evelyn Hudson and Marion Zamoski.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville on Sunday, 3-5 p.m. where V.F.W. Post 9871, North Ridgeville will perform Military Honors at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
