Charles Stump's Obituary
Charles M. Stump, age 72, of Columbia Station, died Tuesday evening at Southwest General Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born in Hacker Valley, WV and had been a resident of Columbia Station since 1970; having moved from North Eaton.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Stump worked as a millwright at Ford Motors- Brookpark for 31 years and retired in 1987.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the National Riffle Association.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Juliette (nee Bare) Stump; sons; William Stump, of North Ridgeville, Arnold (Gayle) Stump, of Carlisle Township, Rick Stump and Eugene Stump, both of Columbia Station; daughter; Judith (Phillip) Rozanski, of Parma; eight grandchildren; and sister, Annalee Couger, of St. Mary, OH
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray B. and Jessica (nee Osborne) Stump, Sr., and brother, Ray Stump, Jr.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Reverend Stephen Carter, pastor of the North Eaton Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Columbia Township Royalton Road Cemetery, Columbia Station.
