Charles Edward Starr's Obituary
Charles Edward Starr, age 81, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Pleasant Valley Medical Center in Point Pleasant, WV after a sudden illness. He was born on June 22, 1938 in Belo, WV and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Following the Marine Corps, Charles began working as a Millwright for the Ford Motor Company at the Brook Park Plant, from which he retired in 1990 after 33 years of service. He moved back to Point Pleasant in 1993, leaving North Ridgeville, where he had lived for many years. In his free time, Charles was a flight instructor, which went hand in hand with his love of flying. He was also an avid shooter and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Charles is survived by his son Michael Starr of WV; daughter Kristi Ann (Tom) Warner of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Shawn Michael (Heather) Starr of CO, Dakota James (Mercedes) Starr of Elyria, Kelsey (Bill) Farr of North Ridgeville, Kaitlyn (Scott) Carpenter of North Ridgeville; and Kyle and Kassidy Warner, both of North Ridgeville; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Darlene Starr; son Bart Westley Starr; parents Willie and Gladys (nee Runyon) Starr; brother James Robert Starr.
