Charles A "Charlie R" Rolko's Obituary
Charles A. Rolko, age 74, of Lorain, passed away December 3, 2015 from long time health complications at University Hospitals Amherst Health Center.
“Charlie R”, was a musician and music teacher. He also enjoyed drag racing and worked closely with Don Garlits. Charlie eventually went on to become an electronics engineer and worked for Baldwin and Lowrey organ companies. After this he founded his own company Charlie R's Communications where, through Kenwood Radio Corp. he helped pioneer the Two-way radio industry.
He is survived by his partner Joann Bulick of Lorain; daughters, Robine O’Brien, Chicago, Ill and Rhonda “Roni” Regent of Waterville,OH; son Charles A. Rolko of Lorain, and stepson's Greg Bodkin of Milan and Richard Bulick of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles P. and Wanda Rolko.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 5PM until time of service at 7PM, at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Private burial will take place at a later day.
