Charles V. Peters' Obituary
Charles Valentine Peters, age 91, of North Olmsted, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the North Ridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Olmsted for most of his life until moving to North Ridgeville in 2003.
Charles served in the US Army as a Military Policeman during WWII.
He worked in maintenance for Ferbert/Schorndoffer, now known as Sherwin Williams, and as a salesman for Shuttler’s Men’s store at Westgate Mall in Rocky River.
He was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church in North Olmsted where he was involved with the Knights of Columbus.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards.
Survivors include his niece, Mary Ellen (James) Schneider of North Ridgeville; nephew, Tim (Hollis) Berendt of Greeley, Colorado; 5 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; sister, Grace Berendt; nephew, Daniel; Berendt; parents, Charles and Gertrude (nee Farrell) Peters.
Private services will be held at a later date.
