Charles Arthur Lyons' Obituary
Charles A. Lyons, age 83, of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Life
Care Center of Elyria.
He was born in Elyria to Norma (nee Hancock) and Charles C. Lyons.
Charles was a resident of Elyria for the past 30 years.
He worked as a test engineer for Lear Romec in Elyria, later Crane Aerospace & Electronics,
retiring after more than 35 years of service. He previously owned and operated Lyon's Sohio in N. Ridgeville.
In his free time, he enjoyed connecting with friends and family and watching Cleveland’s sport
teams, especially the Browns.
He is survived by his son Tim Lyons, his daughter-in-law Susan Dix Lyons, his grandchildren
Cole, Lucas and Ruby Lyons, brother Joseph Lyons and his wife Deborah, his nephew Joe
Lyons Jr. and niece Jodie Bell, and his stepchildren John Bennett, Lisa Bennett, and Peggy
Delk.
Charles is survived by his first wife Laura Parrett and was preceded in death by his ex-wife
Helen, his parents Norma and Charles C. Lyons, and his sister Jeanne.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 12 noon to 1pm. A funeral service
will be held at 1pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville,tlyons4062@gma
OH 44039. Rev. Kearstin Bailey will officiate. Internment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
