Charles F. Langer Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Frederick Langer Jr. III, age 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Warren and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 18 years, moving from Rootstown.
Charles served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After serving in the Army for 20 years, retiring in 1977, he was employed selling cemetery gravesites and life insurance. He was a member of VFW Post 9871 in North Ridgeville
Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren (the L-Team), great-grandchildren, extended family, building train sets, making videos of his travels, fishing and collecting various items.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy (nee Mack), children, Charles (Dee Dee) Langer IV of Elyria, Mark Langer of South Amherst, Donna (Ray) Williams of Lorain, stepson, Terry (Holly) Wilburn of North Ridgeville, stepdaughter, Tammy Sigman of Rootstown, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Langer Sr. and Betty (nee Fowler) Langer, daughter, Linda Odenbaugh, and stepson -in-law, Wayne Sigman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1PM at the Bogner Life Celebration Center, 7259 Greenlawn Dr., North Ridgeville. Jamie Stewart will officiate. A reception will follow until 3PM.
Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserves National Cemetery, Seville at a later date.
