Charles D." Davidson's Obituary
Charles L. "Charlie D." Davidson, age 78, of Canfield, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Woodlands at Austinwoods in Austintown, following a sudden illness.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and had been a resident of Canfield for the past 32 years moving from Parma.
Charles served in the US Navy.
He was the Vice President of Sales for Davidson Metals in Youngstown for 32 years, retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed fishing on Lake Superior and fished all the Great Lakes on his boat, golfing, growing tomatoes, cooking on his grill year round and was an animal lover.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marlene (nee Graf); son, Ronald (Kathleen) of Ravenna;
daughter, Cheryl (Len) Barton of North Ridgeville; grandson, Justin Barton of North Ridgeville; granddaughter, Michaela of Ravenna; brother, William (Margot) Davidson of Aurora; uncle of many; and Scooter the cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Janet (nee Matthews) Davidson and sister, Elizabeth.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home.
