Dan & Judy James (Arndt)
Our family would like to send our sympathy to your family. I have such great memories of your parents having such patience with me as I made a pest of myself with your horses, dog, cats, etc. I never did have enough animals around me. I remember the fairs, the auctions, and I remember them doing the covered wagon trips. I'm glad that you had the chance to have your parents as long as you did. I still miss mine. Gail still lives in Ridgeville, too. With her son Joe, who is now 35. We don't see each other much. We have two grandson, Nicholas, 7 1/2, and Carter, 2. Carter is Danny's son. He and his wife, Allison live in Berea. Michelle and Nicholas live two streets away from us in Ridgeville. Debbie owns her own home in Ridgeville, and saves cats. I'm afraid she is like me in the animal respect. The girl's have health issues, so Dan & I try to help them out as much as we can.
Enough of that, remember the hay loft? Loved jumping out of that and to the hay bales below. I also remember sled rides behind Flash. I loved that horse. I also remember what a good cook your mom was. I always tell ab out catching the snapping turtles for her to make turtle soup.
We hope this brought back some good memories. I really could not have grown up in a better place.
Again, we are sorry to hear about your mom, and sorry we missed the party you had for your dad's 90th birthday.
