Carolyn A. Johnson's Obituary
Carolyn A. Johnson, (nee Baculik), age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away in her home on November 16, 2013.
She was born on April 3, 1923 in Ford City, PA and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 38 years, moving from Cleveland. She was a devout Catholic and long time member of St. Julie Billiart Church. She came from an ethnic Christian family and her Slavic traditions were closely tied to her Christian religious beliefs.
Carolyn was an avid reader, and also enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She also loved going to Las Vegas, casino bus trips and playing the lottery, especially scratch off tickets. The holidays, as well as throughout the year would find her in her kitchen, cooking and baking for her family.
She is survived by her sons Thomas (Jill Fehr), Kenneth (Susan), Daniel and David (Jennifer); daughters Joy Wilson and Janet Detzel; grandchildren Nikki, Daniel Jr., Austin, Alexis, Max and Clark.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1987; parents Jacob and Mary (nee Valek) Baculik; brothers Steven, Anthony and Jacob; sisters Irene, Veronica, Marie, Julia, Pauline and Rose Marie.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville on Monday 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday for a 10:30 prayer service preceding an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
