Carol E Serenari's Obituary
Carol E. Serenari (nee Whyel), age 76, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 3, 2019 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.
She was born in Masontown, Pennsylvania and had lived in Elyria since 1962.
Carol was a member of Cathedral of Life in North Ridgeville, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years and had been active with the Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, crocheting and watching game shows.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie (Scott) Kyser of North Ridgeville, Melissa “Missy” Moran of North Ridgeville, three grandchildren, JR Vanderground, Spencer and Lauren Jones and one brother Clyde Whyel of Vacaville, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Sid” Serenari in 2002; daughter, Cynthia Serenari; brothers, John, Kenneth and Harold Whyel Jr.; and her parents, Harold and Julia (nee Cannon) Whyel.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville and Monday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM at Cathedral of Life 5375 Jaycox Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Mike Payne, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
