Carol M Lauer's Obituary
Carol M. Lauer (Obloy), age 56, of North Olmsted, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Berea, Ohio and had lived in Middleburg Hts. before moving to North Olmsted in the mid 90’s.
Carol graduated from Midpark High School in 1976 and Kent State University in 1980 with a BBA in Computer Science. She was computer programmer, analyst and consultant for several years with Nordson, Cleveland Consulting. She also worked for American Greetings and Quadax.
She was a member of Mensa and enjoyed gardening, working outdoors and reading. Carol was a dedicated mother who enjoyed volunteering for school activities with her children.
Survivors include her husband, George Lauer of North Olmsted; daughter, Rebecca Lauer of Lakewood; son, Brian Lauer of North Olmsted; sisters, Jeanie (Gene) Wilson of Virginia and Rita Runyan of Florida; brothers, Stanley (Paula) Obloy of Texas and Michael Obloy of Montana; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Sophia Obloy.
Private services will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank everyone for their help and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
