Carol J.'s Obituary
Carol J. Au (nee Shade), age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Oak Hills Nursing Home, Lorain.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for 45 years.
She was the owner and operator, along with her husband of 52 years, Roger, of Kenilbridge Kennel in North Ridgeville for 45 years.
Carol enjoyed home remodeling projects which included painting, carpentry work and wallpapering the ceiling. She rebuilt the kennel with her husband and children. She was a seamstress and loved being a full time mother.
Survivors include her daughters Phoebe Au of New Orleans, Deidre Fraley of Elyria; son, Sean of Newport News, Virginia; 3 grandchildren; niece, Judy Herman of North Olmsted; good friend, Julie Chappell of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by husband, Roger in 2011; parents, Carl and Geraldine Shade; sister, Laverne J.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11:30 AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
