Carmella Ryan's Obituary
Carmella A. Ryan (nee Giampetro), age 90 of North Ridgeville, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Brighton Gardens in Westlake following a short illness.
She was born March 3, 1914 in Dunbar, PA. She had resided in North Ridgeville since 1957.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Former member of the Legion of Mary, Member of the North Ridgeville Senior Citizens, where she served as Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors, and was a former member of the Case Road Cassette Club.
She enjoyed bowling and bowled on the Brunswick Senior League.
Mrs. Ryan retired in 1974 from Bendix-Westinghouse in Elyria after 24 years, where she was a Secretary to the Plant Superintendent.
Surviving are two sisters, Angelene Manzola of Elyria, Dolores Giampetro of Cleveland and brother, Rocco Giampetro of Bellflower, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Ryan in 1977, her parents, Peter and Marie Giampetro, six sisters, Rose Giampetro, Catherine Giampetro, Mary Van Gorder, Florence Monti, Sister Anita Marie of the Apostles of Sacred Heart and Jean Helzel
Friends will be received 3-7 PM Thursday, December 9 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 AM Friday at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery.
