Carmela Furfari's Obituary
Carmela Furfari (nee D'Agostino), age 81 of North Ridgeville, died suddenly Thursday, September 14, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake after being stricken at home.
She was born December 12, 1924 in Laganadi Reggio Calabria, Italy. She had resided in North Ridgeville the past 19 years having moved from Fairview where she had lived 30 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Church, North Ridgeville.
She worked as a Machine Operator for Dreco Inc. In North Ridgeville for 24 years, retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Furfari enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Frank, 3 daughters, Antoinette Malinas of North Ridgeville, Ida Polash of Columbia Township, and Elaine Von Benken of North Ridgeville; Son, Frank Furfari Jr. of Strongsville; six grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; brother, Domenico D'Agostino of Parma; and 3 Sisters, Caterina DeMarco, Domenica Furfari, and Maria Bagnato all of Italy.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Carmine and Maria D'Agostino, daughter, Caterina Furfari and son, Domenico Furfari.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM Monday, September 18 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. A Prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home followed by 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
