Carl L. Farmer's Obituary
Carl L. Farmer, age 81, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Southwest General Residential Hospice Center in Strongsville after a long illness.
He was born on January 1, 1931 in Hebbertsburg, TN and grew up in Crossville, Tennessee. Carl has lived in Strongsville for the past 4 years after moving from Elyria where he had lived most of his life.
Carl worked in the shipping and receiving department of the Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, before retiring in 1992 after 35 years of service.
He was an avid traveler, but when at home, Carl enjoyed golf, bowling and working in his garden.
Mr. Farmer was a member of the North Ridgeville Church of Christ, and U.A.W. Local 1250.
He is survived by his son Stan Farmer of Strongsville; brothers Edwin Farmer of Harriman TN and Orlando Farmer of Cleveland; sister Joyce Nealon of Crossville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley E. Farmer in 1997; parents Carl and Agnes (nee Pace) Farmer; brother Donald Farmer.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Terry Sanders will officiate.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
