"Bud" Harold Reed Brown's Obituary
Harrold Reed “Bud” Brown, age 87, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1935 in Lynn Massachusetts and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 45 years, moving from Massachusetts. He was a 1954 graduate of Lynn English High School, was a U.S. Army veteran, and went on to work as a field engineer for General Electric, retiring in 1996 after 41 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. Bud enjoyed woodworking and taking his pets on walks through the Metroparks. The summer months would find him enjoying the outdoors and tending to his garden.
He is survived by his daughters Cathy (Rob) Given of Elyria, Christina Temple of Rutland, VT, Caren Meagher of Elyria and Colleen (Joe) Lawell of Plainfield, IL; son Timothy (Renisha) Brown of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Taylor, Scott, Sean, Derek, Michelle, Justin, Kyle, Lauren, Shae, Alexis, Jesse, Jayden and Alesha; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Harrold and Mary (nee Ryan) Brown; sisters Berle and Lorraine.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bud’s name to a veteran’s organization or animal shelter of your choice.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12 Noon at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria. VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville will conduct Military Honors.
