Bruce W. Hales' Obituary
Bruce W. Hales, age 69, of Elyria, passed away suddenly at his home on May 4, 2014.
He was born on November 10, 1944 in Elyria, where he has lived his entire life. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1970 and was a technician on the Polaris missile carrying submarines. Bruce worked as a machinist at Westlake Tool and Die, retiring in 2014.
He was an avid reader, and could be seen reading even during the long walks he enjoyed.
Bruce is survived by his mother Catherine Pszenitzki of Elyria; brother Paul Hales of Bullhead City, AZ; nephew Brian Hales of Elyria; great nephew Brian Hales Jr. of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul in 1967.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday 5-8 p.m. and on Friday where a prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. preceding a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church. Rev. Frank Kosem will officiate. Interment with full Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 9871 will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
