Brian D. Mahoney's Obituary
Brian D. Mahoney, age 76, of Elyria, passed away Friday evening August 18, 2017 at UH Elyria Medical Center after being stricken at home.
He was born January 24, 1941 in Cleveland where he lived most of his life until moving to Elyria in 2002 from West Park.
Brian worked 45 years as a Ship Chandler for Beacon Hausheer Marine Company, retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed golfing and bowling with friends, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Jean (nee Toth), daughters Christine (Dennis) Endicott of Chattanooga TN, , Kathleen (Tom) Stumpf of Elyria and John (Gina) Mahoney of Parma, grandchildren Jacob, Jeffrey, Meghan, Tommy, Samantha, Brian and Nick, ten great grandchildren and his brother Jay (Barb) Mahoney of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ila Mahoney and two sisters Dorothy Kastelic and Mary Blake.
The family will receive friends from 4PM Tuesday until time of Memorial Service at 5 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services 36625 Center Ridge Rd N. Ridgeville. Reverend Robert Franco, Pastor of St. Peter Church will officiate.
