Brenda was my first friend when I moved to Kansas in 1991 she took me under her wing and helped me learn my way around Dodge. For years we went on a weekly grocery shopping trip and lunch date on Saturdays. She was a surrogate grandmother to my grandson Jess, she prayed for him thru his time in NICU and his numerous surgeries. I missed her when she moved to Ohio the first time and by the time she came back I had moved away from Dodge. Amy and Eric my heart goes out to you, I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers as you travel down this painful road.

Eric and Amy, I found those words as I was searching for ways to express my support for you as you begin to mourn the loss of your Mom. Please know that you have so many people who will be wanting and willing to support you during this time and in your times of sadness yet to come. Don't be afraid to tell us what you need when you need it. Grief is a personal journey, and many will not want to intrude. Please do not interpret that as not caring. Oftentimes, it's a sign of caring too much.
