Bobby Runyon's Obituary
Bobby R. Runyon, age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009, at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake.
He was born in Glen White, West Virginia and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1966 moving from Cleveland.
Mr. Runyon served in the Army during the Korean War from 1948-1955.
He worked as a press operator for General Motor's Chevy Plant in Brookpark for 30 years retiring in 1984. He then worked for Advent Ministries doing pick ups and deliveries for 10 years.
He was a member of North Eaton Christian Unity Church and UAW Local 1005.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty (nee Manning); sons, Bobby (Gale) of Ashland, Rickie (Lynn) of Strongsville, Jeffrey of Pittsfield, Timothy (Karen) of Harrisburg, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Carol Jean Runyon; brother, LeRoy Oaks; sisters, Edith Louise Keller, Joyce Mae Richardson, Arbutus Burleson; father, Charles Runyon and mother, Mary Jane Hodge.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 2:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Denver Daniel will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
