Boaz Verl Mayle's Obituary
Boaz Verl Mayle, age 82, of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Philippi, West Virginia and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 53 years moving from Canton.
He worked as a grinder for US Steel in Lorain for 39 years, retiring in 1992.
Boaz was a member of the US Steel Workers Union, where he was active with the retirees.
He enjoyed going on nature walks, reading his Bible and working in the yard.
Survivors include his daughter, Joyce (Sam) Hardt of Elyria; son, Noland Mayle of Elyria; grandchildren, Nathan (Teresa) Mayle of Vermilion, Dan (Amanda) Mayle of Elyria, Emily (Joshua) Savary of Elyria, Stephen Hardt of Elyria; great-grandchildren, Ethan Mayle, Taylor Mayle and Rowen Reynolds; sisters, Vera Miller and Clara Rabb both of Canton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, who passed away on August 10th; father, Isaac Mayle; mother, Rosetta Collins and sister, Hazel Holtz.
Friends may call Saturday from 2-4PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Grafton, West Virginia.
