Bill Young's Obituary
Bill L. Young, age 77 of Avon Lake, died peacefully at his home Saturday, July 21, 2007.
He was born March 30, 1930 in Copperhill, TN, moving to Avon Lake in 1956.
Mr. Young served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of North Olmsted Assembly of God. He enjoyed working in his yard and was an active member of AA for over 30 years.
Mr. Young was a Tow Motor Operator for General Motors, Brookpark for 34 years retiring in 1994.
Surviving are sisters, Louise Young, Aline Hall and one brother, James Young, all of Knoxville, TN and his dear friend and care giver, Marilyn Jares of Avon Lake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (nee Leidenheimer); parents, William C. and Iowa Young; and sister, Ann Roche.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home,36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where members of AA will conduct a wake service at 7:30PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM in the funeral home with Rev. Mary Lee Canfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where the VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors
