Beverly Reising's Obituary
Beverly J. Reising (nee Ives), age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a short illness.
Born in Elyria, she was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 50 years, spending her last 17 winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Beverly was an Avon School Bus Driver for 25 years retiring in 1992. She also worked for Elyria United Methodist Village, Elyria Credit Bureau, America Goat, San Diego Credit Bureau and the BF Goodrich Store in Elyria.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, North Ridgeville where she had served as a Deaconess. Beverly liked being involved in her community, serving as a past president of Avon Classified Staff; past president of Wilcox PTA; past president of North Ridgeville School Board; she was a member of the original J.V.S Board of Education; social director for Clare-Mar Lakes Campground; 1st chair person for North Ridgeville Recreation Department.
She enjoyed golfing, swimming and volunteering with the scouts.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gilbert "Fuz" Reising; son, John (Amy) Reising of Elyria; daughters, Debbie Gardner and Pam (Jim) Althaus both of Wellington; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Reising of Elyria; brothers, Jack (Jane) Ives of Elyria, Larry (Carol) Ives of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Mildred Ives; sister, Joan Ives and brother, Dick Ives and great grandson Tyler Gardner.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville, where services will be held 10 AM Saturday. Rev. John Fairweather, pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
