Bevan Strickler's Obituary
Bevan L. Strickler (nee McCain), age 80, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Eldora, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Norwalk for the past year moving from Elyria where she had resided for 30 years.
She worked as an associate for J C Penny for 5 years retiring in 1988.
Mrs. Strickler was a member of Community of Christ Church in Elyria.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Stang of Plano, Texas, Ronda Searl of Norwalk, Shannon Dreger of North Ridgeville; son, Thomas N. Of Wellington;11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Archibald, Virginia Garrett both of Elyria, Lois Beckett of North Ridgeville and brother, Gary McCain of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas F. Strickler in 1989; 2nd husband, Richard Hergert in 2002; parents, Elroy and Ruth (nee Lewis) McCain; sister, Wilma Rogers and brother, Jack McCain.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM at Community of Christ Church, 42515 Adelbert Street, Elyria. Ray and Ruth Campbell will co-officiate.
