Betty Welter's Obituary
Betty J. Welter (nee Sprague), age 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a brief illness.
She was born in Elyria and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 65 years.
Betty had worked at Tom's Country Place in Avon for 25 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, and was the former treasurer of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed traveling and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William; daughters, Judy (Ernie) Gill of Clyde, Nancy Welter of West Salem, Beth (Frank) Motta of New Concord; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom Sprague of Elyria, Gene Sprague of Las Cruces, New Mexico; sister, Janet Farmer of Elyria; step-sister, Florence Dragovich.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Sprague; mother, Elnora Nieding; sons, Jack and Bill Welter; brothers, Don, Dick and Jim Sprague.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
