Betty Vencel's Obituary
Betty Lou Vencel, (nee Meyers) age 73, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake after a brief illness. Betty was born on November 29, 1938 in Avon Ohio, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 52 years.
Betty was a member of St. Peter Parish, Secretary to the Mothers Club, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 9871, a longtime volunteer at North Ridgeville Community Care and a past member of the St. Peter PTU and First Parish Council Secretary, serving under Father Kitt.
She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, interior decoration, floral arrangements and was an avid reader.
Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard; daughters Gayle (Greg) Stanfield of Elyria and Tracy (Paul) Franklin of Bainbridge; grandchildren Joe (Dana) Gessner of Flowery Branch, GA, Samantha Fletcher of Meadville, PA and Nicholas and Anthony Franklin of Bainbridge; sister-in-law Linda Vencel of Avon.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Vicki; parents Joseph and Luella (nee Schmitz) Meyers; step mother Anna Nowak Meyers; a step sister and two step brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.) Rev. Bob Sanson will officiate. Interment St. Peter Cemetery. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, on Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Assn., St. Peter Church or North Ridgeville Community Care.
