Betty C. Sheak's Obituary
Betty C. Sheak (nee Schmitz), age 87, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Good Shepherd Home.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Avon for 41 years before moving to Fostoria. Betty worked at American Greetings as a card designer for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Avon.
She enjoyed drawing and quilting in her free time.
Survivors include her sons, Joe Sheak of Fostoria, Jim (Denise) Sheak of Uniontown; daughters, Jean (Vic) Hura of Carmel, Indian, Julie Sheak of Rocky River; grandchildren, Tim and Billy Sheak; brother, Roy Schmitz of Fairview Park; sisters, Dorothy Loescher of Lorain and Gert Rodriguez of Fairview Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Sheak in 2003; parents, Joseph and Adeline Schmitz; brothers, Al and Joe Schmitz; sisters, Grace Thran, Ruth Grogg, Bea Roberts and Rosemary Passerell.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 10 AM followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 3640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon. Rev. Thomas Cleaton, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avon.
