Betty J. Furlan's Obituary
Betty J. Furlan, age 69, of Avon, passed away on May 20, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 29, 1946 in Elyria and has been a resident of Avon for the past 10 years, moving from North Olmsted. She is a member of St. Peter Church and was a past parishioner at St. Richard Church in North Olmsted for 30 years.
She had worked as an administrative assistant and computer analyst for the Ford Motor Company, American Greetings and Eaton Corporation.
She was proud to be the first student enrolled in LCCC, was fond of tending to her plants and watching sporting events, in particular the Cleveland Cavaliers. Betty was very artsy and enjoyed crafts, making wreaths and using design programs on her computer. She was the consummate hostess who loved the holidays, making wonderful pies and pastry for her friends and family. Above all else, Betty found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jerry; son Dean (Leighann Tabb) of South Lebanon, OH; daughter Carrie (Mike) Mosko of North Olmsted; grandchildren Mikey, Danielle and Baby Mosko, who is due September 25; sister Sherry Innes of Oberlin; brothers Jerry Innes of North Ridgeville and Robin (Katie) Innes of Huron; nieces Cassidy Innes and Erika (Jeremy) Zabell; grandnephews Dawson and Zane; grandniece Zoe.
A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon.
