Betty Jane Carpenter's Obituary
Betty Jane Carpenter (nee Robertson), age 88, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville.
She was born in Rocky River and had been a resident of Elyria since 1969 before moving to Norwalk.
Betty worked as a nurse for Elyria Medical Center and Lorain Community Hospitals, retiring in 1983.
She was an active member of East Elyria Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.
She was an avid Bible reader and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling the country.
Survivors include her daughters, Carrie (Harvey) James of Norwalk, Cheryl (John) Panagiotis of Bellevue, sons, David (Sharil) Carpenter of Kansas, Daniel (Amy) Carpenter of Berea, Dennis (Debbie) Carpenter of Elyria, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, daughters, Denise Beckley, Virginia Jane, parents William and Carrie (nee Cornish) Robertson, brother, Richard Robertson, sister, Anna Marie Peepers, granddaughter, Melanie James.
Betty Jane was buried on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
