Bessie Geyer's Obituary
Bessie L. Geyer, (nee Sherrill) age 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the North Ridge Health Center, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Geyer was born in Grandview, Tennessee on November 9, 1931 and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for over 50 years.
Mrs. Geyer was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, sewing, knitting and crafts.
She is survived by three sons, Dan, Steven (Caryna) and Allen (Holly) all of Amherst; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, Mikaela, Aaron Geyer, Elaine Ortega, Weston and Morgan Geyer; six great-grandchildren, Liam, Dane, Glen Geyer, Mauricio Ortega, Isabel and Eva Geyer; two sisters, Alma White and Cleta Reed of Grandview, Tennessee; brother, Elmer (Ollie) Sherrill of North Ridgeville and good friend and neighbor, Barb Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Geyer; son, Jerry Michael Geyer; parents, Quiller and Lela Sherrill (Mathis); brothers, Glen, Roy and Otis Sherrill and sister, Myrtle Webster.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 1PM in the funeral home. Rev. Justin Reed, Pastor of North Ridgeville Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
