Bertha Presgraves' Obituary
Bertha May Presgraves ( nee McVicker ) 82 of Columbia Station, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Southern Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 10, 1924 in Jackson Township, OH and had resided in Columbia Station since 1998. She had also lived in Freeport, OH, Cleveland, and Olmsted Falls for many years.
Mrs. Pregraves was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, and her houseplants.
Surviving are her son, Carl Roy Jones of Freeport, OH; step-daughter, Deanna Kerley ( Cecil ) of Columbia Station; step-son, Doyle R. Jones ( Susan ) of Parma Hts.; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond McVicker of Adena, OH and Carl McVicker; of London, OH and her sister, Maxine Robinson of Cambridge, OH.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle Jones; second husband, Bill Presgraves; parents, William and Anna (nee Bunting) McVicker; and sister, Moina McCully.
Friends will be received Friday, January 5, 2007 from 6PM until the time of service at 8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Machovec, pastor of Columbia Station United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, OH.
